Can Liverpool win all their matches in November?

31/10/2023

November would be a busy month for Liverpool and could be a defining period in their bid to end this season with a trophy.

The Reds have remained one of the top clubs in England for decades, and they are having a good start to this season after their dismal form in the last campaign.

Jurgen Klopp’s men were affected by the loss of some players last season and eventually ended the campaign without Champions League qualification.

They have been playing in the Europa League so far and are doing well in all competitions.

At the end of October, Liverpool has lost just one competitive game, with their contentious 2-1 defeat at Tottenham remaining the only game they have been defeated so far.

That match is a fixture that could easily have been replayed after a shocking mistake from VAR denied the Reds a deserved goal.

But Liverpool has moved on and are building another unbeaten run as they look to earn a return to the Champions League or probably win the league.

In the 2021/2022 campaign, Liverpool was terrific and everyone who bought LFC tickets got value for their money.

Klopp’s men reached the final of the competitions they competed in, and this includes taking Manchester City to the final day of the Premier League season.

But in the last campaign, they failed to hit the heights and seemed to suffer from the burnout of the previous campaign.

It was a tough time for their supporters to remain loyal, but Liverpool is now back among the title challengers in England.

They have some tough games to come in November after a fine run of form in the month of October.

We preview some of their matches and predict which game they should easily win in November.

Bournemouth vs Liverpool, Carabao Cup

Bournemouth has just secured their first win under their new manager, Andoni Iraola, and will face Liverpool next in the Carabao Cup.

The Cherries started last season poorly as well, but as soon as they started winning games, they were unstoppable and eventually secured their safety. Can they upset Liverpool?

Liverpool has already faced the Cherries this season and secured a 3-1 win against them in the Premier League despite being ten men.

Bournemouth defeated Liverpool when the Reds visited them in the Premier League last season, but the Reds will always have the upper hand in this fixture.

Their resurgent team should easily dispatch Bournemouth and reach the quarterfinals of the Carabao Cup in this game.

Luton Town vs Liverpool, Premier League

After a trip to Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup, Liverpool will travel to Luton to face one of the Premier League’s newcomers.

Life in England’s top flight has not been easy for them as they have struggled to earn points apart from their initial league win against Everton.

Luton is a small club with a small stadium, so it was almost a miracle that they secured promotion to the English top flight.

They have been enterprising in some matches and have shown glimpses of why they deserve to be in England’s top flight.

However, facing Liverpool would be a different ball game and one of the toughest days of their lives back in the top division.

Because of the competition to win the league, Liverpool knows they cannot afford to drop points in games like this.

It will be a respectable Premier League fixture, but Luton is no match for Liverpool, and we expect the Reds to defeat the Hatters in this fixture easily.

Toulouse vs Liverpool, Europa League

Liverpool has had a very good Europa League season and would be eager to keep their winning run going.

The Reds have won all their European games so far, including the last two, which were played at their home.

Their next engagement will be this match against Toulouse, who have struggled to juggle domestic and European football this season.

Liverpool won the first leg between these clubs 5-1 and will be in France to finish the job with yet another win.

Toulouse can still make the next round of the competition as they are joint second with Union Saint-Gilloise, who are flying high in the Belgian top flight.

Either of both clubs will finish second behind Liverpool, and this is a reason for the Ligue 1 side to do well against the Merseysiders.

But they are no match, and the Reds will come out of that fixture with Maximum points, which will confirm their place in the knockout stages of the competition.

Liverpool vs Brentford, Premier League

Before the November international break, Liverpool will face Brentford in the Premier League, one of the toughest matches they will play in the month.

The Bees are one of the trickiest teams for top Premier League clubs to face and have handed Liverpool tough times in their past meetings.

Brentford almost qualified for European competition last season and has continued to do well despite missing their star man Ivan Toney.

He is banned until the second half of the season and is expected to leave the Bees when he returns.

However, the London club has coped well in his absence and is surprisingly not in a relegation battle at this stage of the season.

Liverpool has faced tough opponents this term and won, but their game against Brentford is one of the hardest to predict.

Manchester City vs Liverpool, Premier League

After the international break, Liverpool and Manchester City will face each other in this mouthwatering Premier League encounter.

Both clubs have been the main side in the English top flight since Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp came to town.

Last season was dismal for Liverpool and ended with the Reds missing out on a place in the Premier League’s top four, a shocking outcome considering that in the previous campaign, they could have won four trophies.

This term, Liverpool and City have had good and bad days so far, and they remain the two main teams who could win the league when the campaign finishes.

Arsenal and Tottenham continue to lead the Premier League standings because they have not lost any game this term.

Both teams will unlikely last long in the race because of Liverpool and Manchester City, and this fixture will determine who will enter the new month ahead of the other in the league standings.

Liverpool has not won an away game at City since that Champions League quarterfinals match in 2018. This game offers them a chance to change that, but Pep Guardiola’s men know they cannot lose at home to Liverpool at this stage of the season.

This is the Red’s biggest game in November and probably their biggest in this first half of the season, and it is complicated to predict.

Jurgen Klopp’s new midfield is clicking into gear, but their defence will struggle to cope against Phil Foden, Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez.

Liverpool vs LASK, Europa League

The Reds will finish the month with a home game against LASK in the Europa League, and it is probably the easiest game they have in November.

It is surprising that LASK reached the group stage of the Europa League because they have been nothing but disappointing in the competition so far.

The Austrian side cannot buy a win and are the whipping boys in their group, which suggests they will likely have nothing to play for when they visit Liverpool for this fixture.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have had tougher matches, and this fixture will hand them one of the easiest finishes to a European group campaign.

Don’t be surprised if Liverpool names a team of youngsters and just a few first-team regulars for the match and still wins.

November will be one of Liverpool’s hardest months of the season, but apart from the match against Manchester City, they should find their opponents easy to beat.
